Welcome to the third week of January, Seattle! From Martin Luther King Jr. Day, to Cirque du Soleil, it is a busy week in Seattle, with lots to check out. Here are 10 of the best things to do in Seattle this week.

King Day 2024

Start your week at the Center for Communication, Difference, and Equity (CCDE) as they host its first Interrupting Privilege Museum Exhibition on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

According to the CCDE, the “exhibition will feature Interrupting Privilege through an immersive mixed-media exhibit where attendees learn the history and methodology of Interrupting Privilege and have the unique opportunity to listen to recorded dialogues from the Interrupting Privilege catalog as we honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. together.”

Free National Park Day

January is full of opportunities to get outdoors. You can also enjoy free entrance at Olympic National Park and Mount Rainier. While the parks may be busy on this day, don’t miss a chance to get outdoors for free in honour of  Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

PacSci Taproom

On Wednesday, you can tap into science and the art of brewing with tastings from a select few of Seattle’s top breweries.

Visit PacSci after hours and be immersed in our Planetarium, visit The Tropical Butterfly House, experience live Science Demos, get dazzled with laser shows, all while enjoying local breweries.

Participating breweries include: Stillwater, Métier Brewing, and Fast Fashion Brewing.

Corteo by Cirque du Soleil

The internationally acclaimed production of Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo is coming to Seattle and you won’t want to miss it.

Filled with baroque circus acts, whimsical costumes and characters, and beautiful music, the story of Corteo unfolds from the perspective of Mauro the clown, who envisions his own burial amidst a carnival atmosphere and attended by tender angels, according to the Cirque du Soleil website.

Dinosaur Jr.

Beloved American rock band Dinosaur Jr. is coming to Seattle’s Neptune Theatre to play a mix of tunes both newish and old.

Taste of The Rhône Winemaker Dinner

Harry Potter: Magic at Play

The Harry Potter experience has more than 20 touchpoints of hands-on magical activity, including “games, exploration, sensory activations, and more.” Your journey begins at the iconic 4 Privet Drive where you’ll explore the Dursley’s living room and eventually be whisked away on a boat as you cross the Great Lake to arrive at Hogwarts.

Comedian Alex Moffat – From NBC’s SNL

Want some laughs on Friday? A breakout performer on SNL, Alex Moffat succeeded Jim Carrey as Joe Biden on SNL, and he is best known for his impersonations.
