Welcome to July, Seattle! It’s summer and that means it’s time to get out there and see what’s happening around the city. Seattle has plenty to do this month between live music, performances, food & drink events, and more. Without further ado, here are 38 of the best things to do in and around Seattle this July.

Seattle Storm

Check out and support the Women’s National Basketball Association this month, as the Seattle Storm take on several teams in July. Starting on July 1st, you can catch them play the Dallas Wings, July 5 & 7 as they face the Chicago Sky, and three other games through July.

Seattle Mariners 

If basketball is not your game, perhaps baseball is! The Seattle Mariners have several home games this month including against the Baltimore Orioles, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Houston Astros, and the L.A Angels.

3rd of July Family Celebration

This beloved family celebration is back. Kick off 4th of July on the 3rd, with festivities that include pie eating contests, field games, a DJ and food trucks. There will be fireworks when it gets dark!

Shakespeare in the Park

Shakespeare in the Park is a performance not to miss this summer. Kicking off on Thursday, June 27th, and running until Sunday, August 4th, the Seattle Shakespeare Company hosts free, outdoor performances of classical plays in parks throughout the Puget Sound region.

Center City Cinema

Center City Cinema will be screening FREE movies in the park at 12 locations across the city. There will be food trucks on site.

Chateau Ste Michelle- Summer Concerts

Chateau Ste Michelle is known for having one of the state’s best outdoor concert series. And the 2024 lineup will not disappoint! July’s line up includes Beck ,Tate McRae, The Revivalists, Harry Connick Jr., and John Legend.

Seafair 4th Of July

On the 4th of July, check out Seafair, the best way to celebrate Independence Day in the Pacific Northwest. The festivities will include a fully choreographed fireworks presentation accompanied by a musical score!

Downtown Summer Sounds

Get ready to rock: Downtown Summer Sounds is back! Local and national bands are gearing up for the 45th year of this free summer concert series.  From hip-hop and folk-pop to psychedelic punk rock and bluegrass, there’s something for everyone at the outdoor Downtown Summer Sounds.

Pioneer Square Fest

The Pioneer Square Fest returns for its second year! The two-day experience will celebrate music, art and community spirit! There will be with over two dozen bands, across three stages in Pioneer Square!

All-star Classic Celebrity Softball Game

The Seattle All-Star Classic is a star-studded family-friendly event featuring a celebrity All-Star Softball Game & Home Run Derby at Tacoma’s Cheney Stadium. It is back for its third year on July 6th.

Seattle Sounders

And we have soccer games in town too! Catch the Seattle Sounders for a home game or two. They will be playing New England Revolution, St. Louis City SC, Los Angeles FC, and Minnesota United FC.

Marymoor Park

Dancing ‘til Dusk

Back for another year, Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting Dancing ‘til Dusk for 17 evenings this summer. The lessons take place at parks across Seattle, and begins with a dance lesson for the first hour. No experience is needed but keep in mind the class rotates partners. If you’d prefer not to, you can bring a partner to the lesson.

King County Fair 

July also marks the return of the King County Fair. Experience a summer carnival with monster truck rides, food & drinks.

Jungle Party

July means it’s time for Seattle’s wildest summer party! The 48th annual Jungle Party will be a celebration of forests around the world and the animals who call them home, according to organizers.

Day in Day Out

One of our favorite summer festivals is back. Day In Day Out is bringing three days of music to the city. Catch The Head and The Heart, Bleachers, Carly Rae Jepsen, Men I Trust, Suki Waterhouse, Peach Pit, and much more at Seattle Center’s Fisher Green Pavilion, right under the Space Needle.

Northwest Tune-Up Festival

The Northwest Tune-Up Festival “is a bike, beer, and music festival held in celebration of PNW culture.” It takes place in Bellingham with live biking, plenty of brews, and 20+ artists on the waterfront stages.

Salty Sea Days

A beloved tradition in Everett returns with Salty Sea Days, a summer block party taking over downtown with live music, a beer garden and family activities!

Ballard SeafoodFest

This July, head to Ballard for SeafoodFest! There will be FREE live music, family fun, arts, crafts, and food vendors, seafood, and an impressive craft beer showcase.

SipFest Snoqualmie 

SipFest Snoqualmie will feature craft wineries, cideries, and breweries outdoors in the picturesque Snoqualmie Railroad Park. You can bring your own glass to taste samples of wine, beer, and cider from local wineries, breweries, and cideries, and enjoy a night out in a beautiful shaded park setting.

Kla Ha Ya Days

The Kla Ha Ya Days celebration takes place annually in Snohomish. This year, you can catch the mesmerizing beauty of illuminated hot air balloons at dusk, free Pancake Breakfast, a parade, and street fair.

Capitol Hill Block Party 2024

Scheduled for July 19th and 21st in the heart of Capitol Hill, the Block Party is back and headliners include Grammy-winning producer Kaytranada, electropop superstar Kim Petras, and indie rock group Still Woozy. Other performers include: Cannons, Elderbrook, Girl Talk , Becky Hill and Chappell Roan.

Sequim Lavender Festival 2024

If you’re a fan of supporting local farmers and the fragrant plant, the Sequim Lavender Festival is for you. Visitors will be able to enjoy live music, food and check out hundreds of vendors at the festival’s street fair. There is also a beer garden, which will include local and regional beers.

Bite of Seattle 

The Bite of Seattle is an annual food festival that takes place at the Seattle Center, and features over 250 local vendors, beer and wine gardens, cider tastings, local artisans, and over 65+ musical performers.

Olde Burien Block Party

The Olde Burien Block Party will have live music, local food & drinks, beer gardens, and a vendor marketplace in the Highline Heritage Museum lot.

2024 Art on the Ave

Art on the Ave is a festival celebrating local art, artists, music, food, and entertainment, located at 6th Avenue from Alder Street to State Street in Tacoma​. You’ll see over 175 artists and vendors, three performance stages, a food court, a kid zone, and beer gardens.

Chinatown Seafair Parade

The Greater Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2024 Annual Chinatown Seafair Parade, featuring lion and dragon dances, the Seattle Chinese Girls Drill Team, and many more local community groups from the Greater Seattle area.

Summer Nights Happy Hour

Head over to PacSci after work and enjoy shows in the Laser Dome and Planetarium, the Tropical Butterfly House, and cocktails, wine, beer, and food!

Pier Party

The Pier Party is the second annual fundraiser for the Friends of Waterfront Park. Not like your average gala, this one encourages guests to explore the pier, engage with art installations, and enjoy live entertainment. There will be food and drinks as well.

Seattle Art Fair

This July, a one-of-a-kind showcase for the vibrant arts community of the Pacific Northwest returns for its eighth edition. Seattle Art Fair is a leading destination for the best in modern and contemporary art, and you can get a single day ticket or a fair pass.

Movies at the Mural

Starting in July, the Mural Amphitheatre lawn will transform into an outdoor theatre with a 40-foot screen and the iconic Space Needle in view. The series takes place on Fridays and feature popular movies that include classic and contemporary films that are appropriate for all-ages.

Blast Music Festival

Blast Music Fest is described as the premiere Afrobeats music festival of the PNW, and it takes place on one Saturday in July 27.

MOSAIC: Tacoma’s Arts and Culture Festival

Tacoma’s MOSAIC returns with its 36-year tradition of bringing together a kaleidoscope of dance, music, art, food and family fun, set under the shady trees of Wright Park. There will be live music, vendors, and a movie in the park (Space Jam).

Seattle Arab Festival

Vegan Street Fair

Pista sa Nayon

After a three year pause, Pista sa Nayon is back! The festival will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Seward Park Amphitheater. Celebrate the culture and traditions of being Filipino at this festival!

Seattle Fleet Week & Boeing Maritime Celebration

It’s almost time for Seattle Fleet Week at Seafair. Start the celebration with the Parade of Ships through Elliot Bay on July 30th, followed by a week of events where you can meet the sailors and guardsmen, enjoy free music, and take ship tours.
