Another week, and another list of the things to do around Edmonton! We’ve got a little bit of everything in the forecast… some rain, some sun, some clouds, you know how it goes in June. One thing’s for sure though, we’re going to try and make the most of it no matter what’s in store.

Here are the 10 best things to do in Edmonton this week.

The Oilers have got their work cut out for them, but we’re still optimistic! Especially when they’re kicking off the week with a home game.

PURITY RING

Next up, a local band with a very unique breed of electro-pop. Of future pop. Or synth pop. Honestly, we don’t know how to describe it, we just know that we like it!

Where: 6240 99 Street NW
Cost: $33.50+

SUSTAINIVAL

In just a few days time, Sustainival will come to Edmonton, bringing with it the world’s first ‘Green Carnival’. For over a decade now, this event has been showcasing the powers of renewable energy, and our city is going to get a taste!

Nextfest has been an important part of the city for over two decades, giving up and coming artists from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines to showcase their talent.

HOT BOY SUMMER! THE MUSICAL

First it was in Edmonton, then it went on a provincewide tour, and now it’s back for a final hurrah! Go have a laugh at one of the weirdest periods of time in recent history, told through throwing an end of year party at college.

METRO CINEMA

As much as we love a state-of-the-art theatre, we might like this local option even more! Metro Cinema has always got a great selection of movies to check out, from cult comedies to art-house to things even we’ve never heard of!

IMAGINE MONET

We almost forget about this one! After over a year of waiting, this acclaimed immersive art exhibit finally lands in the city next month! Enjoy the works of one of the world’s best painters, in a level of detail that rivals actually, you know, booking a flight to France to see them in person.

When: Opens Wednesday, June 8th
Where: 7515 118 Avenue NW
Cost: $34.95+ for GA

FORT EDMONTON PARK

The already iconic destination got a major renovation last year, and this is its first full season back! Family-friendly options that double as date ideas are few and far between, but we definitely think Fort Edmonton Park is a great example of it.

Tickets: $26.20 for GA

That’s what we’ve got in mind this week, Edmonton!
