Happy first official week of June, Edmonton! From outdoor carnivals, to outdoor markets, and a circus, there are a lot of events to check out in the city this week! Here are the best things to do in Edmonton this first week of June!

Sustainival

Sustainival is almost here, bringing the world’s first green carnival to Edmonton’s Fan Park @ ICE District. Expect a family carnival complete with a full-size midway with over 45 rides and games, interactive displays, community vendors and a variety of educational activities highlighting the future of innovation—which is operated completely on renewable energy.

WHC Summer Series

While it’s not technically summer yet, the Wild Heart Collective’s 124 Grand Market is back. The food and drink (plus a little shopping and entertainment) event will be running Thursday, Saturdays, and Sundays at locations around the city.

Rock of Ages

Get ready to rock! Rock Of Ages is winding down its performances soon, so it’s time to check it out! The Tony Award nominated musical has been selling out theatres from New York to Vegas to London’s West End! This show “captures the iconic era that was the big, bad 1980’s through the story of a small-town girl, a city boy, and a rock ‘n’ roll romance on the Sunset Strip.”

Muttart Conservatory

The Muttart Conservatory is a great weekday pick no matter the weather. After all, who can resist a trip to an indoor botanical garden in one of the city’s coolest buildings? Enjoy Adult Only evenings on Wednesdays from 4 – 9 PM.

Royal Canadian International Circus

The Royal Canadian International Circus 2023 is coming to West Edmonton Mall, and it all kicks off this Thursday! You can expect to see “Daredevil extraordinaire, Joseph Dominik Bauer of Switzerland on the Wheel of Destiny, the amazing Aerialists and Trapeze Artists, The African Bone Breakers Contortionists as seen on America’s Got Talent, Globe of Death extreme motor cyclist plus award winning speed Juggler Nilson Escobar from Peru, the Dominguez Duo Crossbow Thrill Act, Guerrero High Wire Troupe from Columbia, and the TZ Ladies of the Air.”
