FASHION IN MOTION

This week, check out this exciting evening of street food, drinks and high fashion. It will feature local designers/boutiques with live music. Part of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Little Warriors.

THE EDMONTON MOUNTAIN BIKE FILM FEST

The Edmonton Mountain Bike Film Fest takes place this week. The event is a community fundraiser to support the construction of the Edmonton Bike Park, a world-class bike skills park in the heart of Edmonton’s river valley.

DOWNTOWN SPARK

Downtown Spark is back! Expect this year’s event to be bigger and better, with more things to see including art installations and musical performances, as well as street parties! The event will be free, and family-friendly!

PETER PAN

As we head into the weekend, check out the Young Company in a reimagining of J. M. Barrie’s classic for kids and kids-at-heart! Expect this Peter Pan to be a “lively musical adaptation” where the actors create “magic out of simple props, accompanying the show with an array of live instruments and taking the audience on an awfully big adventure.”

UFEST EDMONTON UKRAINIAN FESTIVAL

UFest Edmonton Ukrainian Festival is a celebration of Ukrainian culture, food, music, visual arts, crafts and dance. The two-day event will be free to attend!

PRISON DANCER

Prison Dancer is a musical by Filipino-Canadian creators Romeo Candido and Carmen De Jesus. It is based on a viral video from 2007, showing 1,500 inmates in a Philippines prison dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” It’s the last week to catch it!

THE ART OF THE BRICK

The world’s largest and most popular display of Lego art is here! If you’re a Lego fan, be sure to make time to head to Telus World of Science to discover over a million Lego bricks transformed into over 100 sculptures by contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya.

This iconic destination is now open for its season! Family-friendly options that double as date ideas are few and far between, but we definitely think Fort Edmonton Park is a great example of it.
