There’s a date! It looks like the highly-anticipated Thermëa spa village in Whitby is finally ready to open. And eager relaxation experts can soon look forward to kicking back at this new venue next month.

Mark your calendars because you can now book your spa getaway on Thermëa spa village’s website. When, you ask? The new serene destination will be expecting visitors starting October 6.

On Monday, the spa released a new video update with a tour of the completed main building and facilities.

In the video, product and design manager Antoine Lagarec takes viewers inside the check-in building, guest services, locker area, and massage rooms.

The interior has a rustic feel with beamed ceilings, exposed brick, and wooden tables. Lagarec also demonstrates the bracelet that each guest will be given to activate their locker.

It seems like a lot of progress has been made since we last heard from the spa. From the video, it’s clear that the village is definitely taking shape, with many of its buildings and the emblematic water tower now in place.

When it’s complete, the spa village will have six dry saunas, two vapour baths, five warm pools, glacial plunge pools, a German-inspired Aufguss ritual in an authentic log sauna, the Middle Eastern tradition of Rhasul in a steam bath, Epsom salt flotation pools, as well as massages and various treatments.

As for food and drink options, the spa will have an on-site Biërgarden with a patio as well as three restaurants serving local cuisine, which will be featured in the next video update, according to Lagarec.

Being just 45 minutes east of Toronto and 10 minutes from the Whitby GO station, this is sure to attract Ontario locals near and far when it finally opens to the public.

September just came around but we’re already looking forward to October.
