The Oilers are hosting the first-ever Pride Cup this weekend & here’s everything to know

Come Saturday, August 6th, ICE District Plaza is set to create its own history. The plaza will once again turn into a big block party for hockey fans and fun lovers alike. Only this time, the event will mark the inauguration of the Pride Cup ball hockey championship to celebrate Pride in Edmonton.

The championship is presented by Edmonton Oilers in partnership with Pride Tape and MacEwan Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity. With this championship, the Oilers continue to profess their unwavering commitment to diversity, equality and inclusivity.

Now, here’s the gravy on top— this weekend party won’t affect your wallet in the least bit. It’s free to attend.

So, mark your calendars and head downtown for a wild game and a fun party! And don’t skip out on ICE District’s Summer Solstice Series for even more fun all season long.
