Of all the landing pages on the internet, Google Earth is one of our favourites. From far-off cities, towns, and communities, to unusual landmarks – we can travel across the entire world with just a click of the mouse.

What’s even more impressive though, is that the service can show us things that we didn’t even know were right under our noses – like closed sets for major Hollywood productions.

Starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, the crew of Alberta-shot The Last Of Us have occupied our busiest areas, most scenic destinations, and made-for-TV facilities like The Calgary Film Centre.

However, while we’ve been treated to PLENTY over the last few months – there’s even more that we’ll have to wait to see when the video game adaption premieres – or at least that’s what we thought.

Thanks to YouTube super sleuth, Joanastic all the way in Spain – we might have just gotten a behind-the-scenes look at one of the show’s biggest filming locations.

As seen here – Joanastic and Twitter fan accounts alike, believe that this is a to-scale version of the game’s iconic quarantine zone, built and dressed for the upcoming series.

While it’s a big grainy – old moss-covered cars can be seen scattered across the grounds, along with cranes and tiny cityscapes – which makes their claim tough to argue (considering it looks a LOT like their more public sets.)

Of course, we won’t know for sure until 2023 when The Last Of Us finally hits HBO.

Until then – Calgarians should keep their eyes out! They’ll only be in town until June 10th – and you won’t want to miss your chance to see it all with your own two eyes!
