No matter the season, Calgarians (and other Albertans) tend to flock to Canmore any chance they get. Be it for the incredible views, the great hikes in the Rockies or The Grizzly Paw Brewery. It might not be our primary reason but the brewery sure is a significant part of our trip. And we now have even more reason to dote on this Canmore hotspot.
The Brewery recently announced that the backyard BBQ is now officially open for the summer. And this year, they are taking it to a whole new level with a brand new BBQ-style food truck.
We already love the Paw patio for its food, its views and of course, the craft brews. Now, you can enjoy their whole range of classic and seasonal craft brews, cocktails and sodas along with live music and a permanent food truck on site.
The food truck menu extensively features BBQ-style delights. Think the likes of smoked brisket, Ribs, Nashville fried Chicken and pulled pork. You’ll also find a variety of vegetarian grubs including cauliflower bites, cornbread, and fresh summer salads among others.
The Grizzly BBQ is one big BBQ party, only with insane food and drinks, live music and views that last for days. And because no party is ever complete without a few good games, Grizzly Paw has you covered with their selection of lawn games like Corn Hole, Giant Jenga, Badminton and more.
Imagine killing it at Giant Jenga while sipping on a cold can of Three Sisters Pale Ale, relishing the super hot Nashville fried chicken and toe-tapping to upbeat live music. All this in a backyard curtained by the Rockies. It isn’t hard to guess why the Grizzly Paw Patio has made it to the top of our list of unmissable outdoor experiences to have this summer.
The backyard will be open Friday to Sunday (1 pm – 8 pm) all summer.
As for the live music, local artists will amp up the place with their electric performances on Saturday (3 pm-6 pm) and Sunday (2 pm-5 pm). And if we get lucky, even Fridays throughout August. Although, this is yet to be confirmed. Stay up to date by following them on Instagram @thegrizzlypaw!
