Calgary’s fine dining scene just got a sparkly new addition!

If you’re a local foodie, then you probably already know about the Teatro Group. This family-owned and operated company is the brain behind some of Calgary’s most iconic dining destinations, and they’ve been rolling out winner after winner for the last 31 years!

It all started with Teatro Ristorante, a place that has set the bar for culinary excellence in the city for over 3 decades. It’s a landmark in Olympic Plaza that has hosted everyone from celebrities and world leaders, to wine legends.

But like any dynasty, they didn’t stop there.

Alforno and EAT (Eighth Avenue Trattoria) are both turning 10 this year, while upscale brunch destination Vendome is celebrating 15 years of business in Sunnyside.

From the cozy market bistro Cucina, to the legendary flagship establishment that started it all, Teatro, this restaurant group has a place for whatever you’re craving – done right, of course.

2024 is another exciting year because the Teatro Group is introducing a new addition to its family.

Clos de la Oyster Barre is the brainchild of Wine Director Taylor Simpson, and it’s a whole new take on fine dining.

This new spot operates out of the Vendome space with exclusive access through its unassuming side door. The menu has an upscale seafood emphasis with expertly selected wine pairings that will send you straight to Nirvana.

To celebrate Clos de la Oyster Barre’s opening Teatro Group is giving away a chef-curated dining experience at every one of their restaurants, valued at over $3500.

You could win:

  • Chef-designed dining experience with beverage pairings at Clos
  • 3-course dinner for 2 at Teatro with wine pairings
  • 3-course dinner for 2 at Cucina with wine pairings
  • Breakfast for 2 at Vendome
  • Breakfast for 2 at Alforno
  • $75 to spend at Eat

Check out Clos de la Oyster Barre when it opens, and enter the contest on Curiocity’s Instagram page for your chance to dine like royalty!
