A huge food festival kicks off in Calgary next month & it’s FREE to attend

There’s nothing quite like summer in the city and in Calgary, there are a handful of events that you have to check out every sunny season. Next month, work up an appetite and enjoy Taste of Calgary, a foodie favourite in the heart of Calgary.

Featuring global cuisine and local restaurants bars and companies, this highly anticipated event celebrates the best food, drink and live entertainment that the city has to offer and in 2023, they’re expanding!

While TOC will take place in the same location as last year (Calgary Parking Lot #6 311 8 Street SW), they will now also occupy the neighbouring green space “to allow for more exploration” while guests wander the event.

In addition to this, they’ve also announced that they’re going paperless this year, introducing what’s called a ‘Taste Pass,’ which will free up your pockets and make travelling even easier during the festival.

“Event-goers can choose to pre-purchase their Taste Pass online up until Wednesday, August 2 at 5 p.m.and receive VIP entry to skip the line at the festival and receive a complimentary Taste of Calgary tote (while supplies last),” they explain on their website.

“After August 2, Taste Passes can be purchased at the festival or Tasters can choose to simply purchase their Taste samples with Credit Card or Debit Card directly from each vendor. ”
