Canada’s largest Asian festival returns to Markham this summer, bringing together some of the best food vendors around the GTA. Taste of Asia kicks off this June and here’s what you should know.

For three full days of cultural events, family-friendly attractions, and of course, food, Taste of Asia will take over Markham starting June 23rd.

The annual event is organized by the York Region, Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM), and the Association of Progressive Muslims of Canada (APMC).

With over 300,000 visitors and over 150 different food stalls, you can expect an exciting and high-energy event that celebrates harmony, cuisine, and culture.

Taste of Asia began back in 2003 during the SARS outbreak with a mandate of boosting the local economy.

According to organizers, at the time, it “also provided a platform for the community to promote the multicultural mosaic of Canada.”

This will be the 19th year of the event and it will take place at Kennedy and Steeles, starting on June 23rd and ending on June 25th.
