Indulge in fresh margs & tacos at Calgary’s beachy new west coast-inspired resto

Summer 2022 is far out, but that doesn’t mean we can’t escape the snow and sleet to a paradise inside our minds… or our mouths! This winter, hang ten at Calgary’s newest restaurant, Surfy Surfy.

Designed by Frank Architecture and from Calgary’s Concorde Group (National, Lulu Bar, Bridgette Bar & more), this 88-seat space is calming, warm, inviting, and conveniently located in Chinook Centre directly below Double Zero.

With SoCal bites like light, fresh and tasty appetizers, tacos from a spit, and zesty BBQ burgers, this not-so-average joint is now open and serving west coast best to customers in need of a vacation.

“We had so much fun working on this menu and took our inspo from the foods we hunt down after a long day at the beach,” said Culinary Director, Sterling Cummings.

“Playing on foods we’ve enjoyed from beach vendors and ocean cafes in California, our menu’s laid back and simple but full of flavour, and best paired with friends.”

Of course, their food menu isn’t where the party ends! From refreshing sips like margaritas and beers by the can, that will take you from “happy hour to sunset.” What a vision!

If you’re interested in checking it out, Surfy Surfy will be open daily from 11 am to 11 pm, with the exception of today March 1st and March 2nd, when they will only be open between 4 pm and 11 pm.

Check it out and prepare to get pitted, Calgary. Wa-bow!

SURFY SURFY, CALGARY

Where: 6455 Macleod Trail SW, Calgary
