We hope you’re hungry, Toronto! On Saturday, May 14, a brand new Asian night market called Superfresh is taking over the Annex with 4,000 square feet of delicious eats, live entertainment, and special surprises.

Superfresh “will showcase Asian-led and owned businesses across the city combining food, drinks, live entertainment, a bodega and other planned secret events under one roof—making it the ultimate experience, no matter what time of day you decide to stop by,” the description says.

Superfresh is located at the Annex Food Hall near Bloor St W and Spadina Ave and has whimsical details and neon lights that resemble the bustling Asian night market.

A large dining room, bodega, and full bar have been set up with room for 150 guests indoors and 50 guests on an outdoor patio. The bar top is made out of Mahjong tiles and a wall comes alive with moving fortune cats.

While you chow down on tasty treats, you’ll get to enjoy the sounds of live DJs, do some pop-up shopping, explore local artisan products, and participate in the amazing culture and heritage of these Asian nations.

The drink menu is even more expansive, featuring speakeasy-style cocktails, carefully curated beer, sake, soju, and Baijiu.

Some of the cocktails include ’Superfresh Spritz’ made with a Lemongrass infused Northern Keep Vodka, and a house Pomelo Ginseng Cordial topped with sparkling wine on tap.

“We wanted to create a community and cultural hub, not just simply a spot to eat,” said Superfresh co-creator Trevor Lui in a press release.

“By curating an entirely authentic and fully Asian concept, it allows us to celebrate much of the things we hold near and dear to our hearts in creating
a unique and inclusive space for locals and tourists to explore.”

The city is long overdue for a night market and we could not be more excited.
