Did you know? You can rent an entire private island on BC’s Sunshine Coast just 5 hours from Seattle

Ready for a getaway you won’t soon forget? How about renting an entire private island? It probably sounds entirely out of the budget but trust us, it’s not as expensive as you might think especially when you see everything that’s included. Let’s check out this off the grid, private island retreat on BC’s Sunshine Coast.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to take a vacation up north this is probably it. The island can sleep 6 guests with 3 bedrooms and 3 beds. There’s an ocean front tent cabin, a forest tree house and a luxury yurt room. Each has their own perfectly funky PNW vibe that you’d expect on an off the grid island.

Now don’t get off the grid confused with camping, this island is actually very well equipped for a comfortable stay. That being said, power is limited and it’s not the place to WFH if you rely on wifi because there is none. So kick back, disconnect and enjoy the bounty of nature.

The rooms have memory foam beds and organic bedding, you’ll find composting toilets in the bathroom as well as a shower, towels and even biodegradable soaps, shampoo and toothpaste. What’s more, food to make breakfast and lunch are provided as well as home cooked evening meals which are available from the freezer.

As for the property itself you can enjoy large wrap around sun decks, designated fire pits, lounging hammocks, a private beach and even a swimming bay. You can also rent kayaks and paddle boards for $20 per person per day and use other equipment like life jackets, safety equipment and snorkelling gear. Psst there’s even a DIY wood fired seasonal hot tub on the property.

Didn’t think this stay could get any better? Well the rental rate also includes boat transport from the Government Dock in Egmont, BC. The island rental costs $850 a night and if you go with 6 people it’s decently affordable at $134 per person. So pack your bags and get ready to make the drive up to BC’s beautiful Sunshine Coast. After all, when was the last time you went to Canada?
