Calling all pizza lovers! A new 10-day pop-up called Sunday Pies is launching at Luppolo Brewing this week, and we’ve got some delicious deets to share with you.

The deets

Chef Colin Staus (Big Day BBQ) and Doug Stephen (DL Chicken & Burgers, Vennie’s Sub Shop, & The Drive Canteen) have joined forces to create eight original pizza pies available every day of the pop-up. Honestly, we can’t think of a better way to kick off summer than with authentic Italian fare, craft brews, and great company!

Also available during the pop-up are olives, burrata, giardinara, wings, meatballs, and salads – plus ice cream sandwiches from Beta5. The even better news? Sunday Pies will be available during regular brewery hours as well!

The pies

Now, let’s get into the pies themselves. Here are the delicious stars of the Sunday Pies pop-up:

  • The Farmer: Caramelized zucchini and fior di latte
  • The Quattro: SP tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella, fior di latte, parm, pickled pepper relish, and basil
  • The big pep’: SP tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella, pepperoni cups, and oregano
  • The Bamma: Smoked chicken with Alabama white sauce, pickled reds, mozzarella, and parsley
  • The Patat: Prosciutto, stracciatella, taleggio, and shaved potatoes
  • The Meat’za: SP tomato Sauce, salami, spicy sausage, pepperoni, and chili flakes
  • The Mortadella: Pistachio pesto, arugula, and lemon
  • The Margherita: SP tomato sauce, fior di latte, and basil

If these mouthwatering options aren’t tempting enough, Sunday Pies has also announced a series of daily pie collabs with local Vancouver chefs. You’ll definitely want to make several visits to the pop-up to try them all!
