If you’re going to be hitting the slopes this winter, there’s a pretty unique restaurant that you should know about. Crystal Mountain’s Summit House Restaurant just so happens to be the highest-elevation restaurant in Washington. It’s a great place to visit after skiing or simply for the sake of visiting.
Your experience begins with a 2,500-foot ride on the mountain’s scenic gondola, surrounded by expansive views of Mount Rainier and the Cascade Range. Psst, those views are also visible from the restaurant.
Upon sitting down for your meal, you’ll find a menu featuring locally sourced, sustainable ingredients inspired by the flavors of the Pacific Northwest.

What also makes this restaurant unique is the fact that it’s semi-seasonal. By that we mean it’s open during the summer and winter ski seasons. The good news is that it means the restaurant is open now!
If you happen to be skiing for the day, the gondola ride is included in your ticket price, otherwise, you’ll need to buy a gondola ticket which includes one trip up and down for $44. Considering the ride is 12 minutes of stunning views and you can take your sweet time at the top, it’s worth it.
Get ready to have the most unique dining experience of winter and enjoy.
