There are some things that are just meant to be enjoyed at a certain time day or year. For example – football and Thanksgiving are a match made in heaven, hot chocolate always tastes sweeter in the dead of winter – and when it’s 30 degrees, nothing compares to a patio marg and some guac.

Alberta’s Bowden Sunmaze is an AB favourite and for good reason! Not only does this stunning property plant over 1 million sunflowers, but they’ve also got a U-pick and are totally pet-friendly. Dogs, Instagram and strawberries? Sounds like a combination worth travelling for.

CALGARY FARMYARD

While Calgary Farmyard definitely has an impressive sunflower field, it’s also worth mentioning their other fun activities as well. From an 11-acre corn maze, adorable animals, outdoor games and pedal carts – you have to visit before summer’s end.
