5 of the strongest contenders at the 2026 Grammys according to fans

It’s Moira Rose’s favourite season…awards season! The 2026 Grammy Awards are happening on Sunday, February 1, and with big names like Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, and Bad Bunny leading nominations, it’s sure to be an unforgettable evening of musical celebration.

So, who do you think will take home the big awards? This year you can take your debates out of the group chat and into the betting pools with FanDuel, a fun-to-play brand that goes beyond sports betting, merging the worlds of pop culture, social media trends, and politics to create timely novelty bets that resonate with people all across Ontario.

And because FanDuel is committed to promoting responsible gaming, they’ve implemented low maximum bets for novelty markets, which means customers can enjoy these unique betting opportunities while enjoying responsible play.

Will your fave take home a coveted gramophone? Here are five categories, and the artists’ fans think will win.

Best Pop Solo

The earworms you can’t stop singing along to are all gathered here in this category, and it’s pop princess Sabrina Carpenter’s Manchild that’s anticipated to win. However, with The Subway by Chappell Roan and Disease by Lady Gaga trailing behind, this category is full of certified bops.

Best New Artist

This category is always especially competitive, with previous winners including legendary names like The Beatles, Mariah Carey, Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, and, more recently, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, and Olivia Rodrigo.

This year, it’s British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean who’s expected to join their ranks, with the odds at -345 (that’s an implied 77.7 per cent probability).

Record of the Year

Not to be confused with Album of the Year, which looks at every song on an album, or Song of the Year, which honours the writing of a specific song, Record of the Year goes to a single track in recognition of the overall performance and production. This year, Luther by Kendrick Lamar and SZA is projected to win, and hearing the chemistry of the two stars’ blended vocals, it’s easy to see why.

Song of the Year

Is anyone surprised that Golden from the highly praised and widely loved KPop Demon Hunters is expected to win? It’s probably already the Song of the Year in your car as you drive your daughter to school – this award would just make it official. With odds at -700, an implied likelihood at 87.5 per cent, it’s looking favourable.

Album of the Year

With odds set at -160 (an implied 61 per cent probability) that the most anticipated award of the night will go to Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny for his sixth solo studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Between his Super Bowl Halftime performance and six Grammy nominations, Bad Bunny has had quite the year – and it’s only just begun! Let’s see if he can tie it all together with a win.
