This Ontario town is home to storybook-like castles & historical shipwrecks

Ontario never fails to surprise us! There’s a picture-perfect town in our wonderful province and it is known for its storybook-like castles, historical shipwrecks, gorgeous mansions, and waterfront views. There’s lots to see and do in the town of Gananoque and here’s why it’s worth a trip.
If you’re willing to make a day of it, Gananoque or also known to locals as “Gan”, is a about a three hours drive east of Toronto.
Next stop: Ganonaque
According to the 1000 Islands Tourism site, the town is “internationally recognized as one of Eastern Ontario’s most stunning waterfront communities.”
Per Destination Ontario, the town is located along the St. Lawrence River.
Gananoque and the surrounding 1000 Islands are actually considered one of North America’s most beautiful and unique destinations.
Go on an adventure and explore its charming downtown core. You’ll find delicious dining spots, local shops, arts, and culture just begging to be explored.
The region is also home to two UNESCO recognized sites; the Rideau Canal and the Frontenac Arch Biosphere, per Destination Ontario.
