This new Washington campground is the first of its kind in the United States

A new Washington campground nestled among 25 acres on the Long Beach Peninsula is the first of its kind in the United States, and it is open for bookings. While Snow Peak Long Beach Campfield just opened its first location here, it has other locations in Japan and has been operating there since 2011.

The new four-season campground is mean to offer “a reimagined outdoor experience with thoughtfully designed spaces to slow down, connect with one another, and be with nature.”

The Campfield has three different kinds of accommodations which include Field Sites, Tent Suites and Jyubako Suites (available later this summer).

According to Snow Peak, the Field Sites offer “a blank slate to create your campsite from scratch.” There are a variety of them available in different sizes and locations.

For those looking for more of a “turnkey” camping experience, Tent Suites allows guests to just show up and camp, with no set up required.

And finally, there are the Jyubakos Suites (described as small micro cabins), which will be available this summer.

“Designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, the Jyubakos offer a private bathroom, full queen bed and kitchenette. The cabins offer a cozy escape for those who prefer a bit of added luxury with their outdoor experience,” states their website.

Also at the campground is open-air “Ofuro Spa experience,” which is modeled after Japanese bathhouses. There is a hot pool, sauna, as well as a cold plunge.

The Campstore is the one-stop-shop for essentials for campers, along with a space for gathering and mingling. There is a communal table, and a fire pit area.

For those looking to book, sites are open for booking and start at $85.

Happy Camping! Oh and if you want to visit for just a day, day visitors are also welcome.
