One of Canada’s most unusual winter sporting events returns to Alberta this month

Winter is here and with the holidays behind us, we’re all looking for something else to look forward to. If of course, you’re a sports fan or you just like being out in the mountains, that thing could be just around the corner!

An unusual competition where worlds collide, Albertans are encouraged to check out the big Skijoring event in Banff which is held in conjunction with the annual SnowDays festival.

Tied to the back of a horse, riders and ski pros will gallop and glide through the streets in an attempt to wow the crowd with tricks, flips and showmanship.
