Driving in the snow during the winter months? No dice. Luckily, Calgarians now have somewhere they can wind down, feel like royalty and recharge – all without breaking the bank or even starting their engine.

Now open to the public for open for massage and heat therapy only, SKA – Calgary’s new urban spa has opened its doors to reveal a steam room, dry and infrared saunas, a lounge area and a bar – with a hot and cold plunge pool to come!

Located on 11th Avenue, this downtown oasis is small in size, but mighty in what they offer.

From date nights and bad days to bachelorette parties and anniversaries, SKA City Thermal Spa will be accessible to everyone and – due to its close proximity to businesses and apartment complexes, can be enjoyed comfortably – even without an occasion.

“SKA is all about self-kindness amplified. We really want to focus on health and wellness for the individual or for group bookings and events,” spa director, Amy-Rose Sigouyn told Curiocity.

The best part? Because the hope is that guests come on a regular basis,  they’re pretty reasonably priced – especially in comparison to similar destinations.
