Marvel star, Canadian talent, and recent JUNO awards host Simu Liu will add ‘soon-to-be-bestselling author’ to his long list of accolades. Lucky for Vancouverites, he’ll be making a stop on his promotional tour for We Were Dreamers at The Centre for Performing Arts in Vancouver this coming Monday, June 13th!

Released on May 17th, Liu’s “Immigrant Superhero Origin Story” provides insight into various stages in his personal life as he battles the world of fair representation in Hollywood.

Liu shares everything from his childhood in China to his struggles combating parental expectations and cultural stereotypes in Canada. He even divulges a failed accounting career before he would be set on the path toward becoming Marvel’s Shang-Chi, and eventually, one of the most influential people of 2022.

“Don’t let Simu Liu fool you. On the outside, you may see boyish good looks, talent, and a body made of tightly coiled muscle. But on the inside? It’s quite good-looking in there, too. Strong heart, beautiful ligaments, and a soul made of spun sugar. Also, he wrote this hilarious and heartfelt story about growing up, finding yourself, and seizing your moment,” says Ryan Reynolds.

The global tour launched in Liu’s hometown of Toronto before heading to New York, Los Angeles, London, and beyond. Vancouver is one of the last stops on June 13th – so we’ve gotta make it count!

Tickets start at $54 right now on Live Nation.

That’s all for now, Vancouver. We’ll see you there!
