Alberta has no shortage of incredible places to eat and with the Juno awards set to take over Rogers Place this week, it was only a matter of time until a celebrity guest walked into one of them.

Serving a variety of tasty Korean eats from Bulgogi Fries to fried chicken, customers at Hanjan in Edmonton were delighted when Simu Liu stopped by after being invited via social media.

To their surprise, not only did the actor respond “Yo, I’m down” to their post, but then he showed up, ate and took several pictures with the staff.

“We asked and @simuliu delivered – thanks so much for dining at Hanjan, this is definitely one for the books!” they shared. “P.S. yes he is just as handsome and charismatic in person.”

If you’d like to support him and the show, you can tune in on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One and CBC Listen, and stream globally on cbcmusic.ca/junos Monday, March 13th, 2023.

Enjoy happy watching and why not check out Hanjan? It’s going to be quite a busy spot in the coming months.
