Ontario town turning parks into a winter wonderland with over 500,000 Christmas lights

This Ontario town is taking “walking in a winter wonderland” to a whole new level. Simcoe, Ontario completely transforms during the holidays for its Simcoe Christmas Panorama. This epic holiday experience features over 60 displays and 500,000 lights that line the parks, waterfront and downtown area.
Not only can visitors enjoy the light displays, but there are also horse-drawn trolley rides, character meet and greets and yummy treats.

Getting there
If you’re travelling from Toronto, getting to Simcoe, Ontario will take you around two and a half hours by car.
The festivities begin at 50 Bonnie Drive and are free to check out, running from November 30th, 2024 –until January 1st, 2025.
Light displays are turned on from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM each evening including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

Walking around a whimsical park illuminated by Christmas lights is nice, but it’s even nicer with hot cocoa, apple cider, donuts and cookies.
Vendors will be selling all of the above so make sure you show up hungry and ready for a nice warm drink.
The horse-drawn trolley rides run on December 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th from 6:30 PM until 9:30 PM and cost $3 per rider.
As if it could get any cuter, Sonny’s Llama Farm will have llamas, alpacas and donkeys at the Simcoe Christmas Panorama on December 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th.
