It’s here, folks! The longest-running winter celebration in Edmonton, Silver Skate Festival, officially kicks off tomorrow in Hawrelak Park with enchanting events, performances, athletes and artists.

Despite February being warmer than the last, this incredible spectacle will make you feel as though you’re gliding through a winter wonderland and exploring the city with a brand new pair of eyes.

What began as a small annual skating event 30 years ago, has since become a 10-day extravaganza with snow and fire snow sculptures that will light the night and keep you toasty warm, a winter cinema that will be showing local films, food, drinks, a heritage village and more.

While this year, there will still be an opportunity to frost your blades, Silver Skate fest now features indoor and outdoor activities perfect for the whole family or Valentine’s date, so bundle up, grab the hand of someone special and check it out!

There’s really nothing like it in or around the city.

When: Friday, February 11th – 21st
Where: 9330 Groat Rd NW, Edmonton
