Shake Shack is opening in Toronto & hosting its first-ever Canadian job fair

Shake Shack announced it is expanding into Canada over a year ago, and we since found out that one of its Toronto locations would be coming downtown. And now, the American fast food chain is hosting its first-ever Canadian job fair, which is taking place this week.

According to a LinkedIn post by Shake Shack, its hiring fair will take place on April 23rd to April 26th in Toronto.

“Hungry to join the first-ever Canadian team? We’re hiring Team Members for our first location!” reads the post.

“Join us at our Job Fair on April 23rd to April 26th at Union Station in the TD West Carriageway from 10am to 7pm daily.”

You can expect  full-time and part-time positions as the company gears up to open its first Toronto restaurant.

The popular spot for burgers and fries is yet to announce an official opening date, but has been hiring for other positions since the beginning of the year.

And following the new location here, we can expect to see more of the restaurant across the country.

“Together with Osmington Inc. and Harlo Entertainment, we plan to open 35 Shacks in Canada by 2035 starting with the flagship location in Toronto in 2024. We can’t wait to be a part of the city’s bustling energy and innovative food scene,” said Michael Kark, Chief Global Licensing Officer of Shake Shack back in 2023.

And it’s safe to say we’re just as excited for them to join us here in Toronto.

If you’re looking to join the team, be sure to get to the job fair this week – and good luck!
