Here’s where Shake Shack is opening its first location in Toronto

This is not a drill! We now know where Shake Shack will open its Toronto storefront, marking its first location in Canada.

Shake Shack has yet to release any updates since its initial announcement but it looks like the American fast food chain is coming to Yonge-Dundas Square.

The restaurant is set to take over the former Adidas street-level space at 10 Dundas Street East, within The Tenor.

According to The Tenor site plan from December 2023, Shake Shack will take over about 7,300 square feet of the space.

News of its location was first reported on an Urban Toronto forum thanks to the detective work of a member on the site.

Though an opening date has yet to be announced, we can only expect the chain to open fairly soon considering it is currently hiring.

Shake Shack is looking to fill three important roles to fulfill its managerial staff.

The positions include General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Manager. Of course, some degree of managerial experience is necessary to apply.

“Together with Osmington Inc. and Harlo Entertainment, we plan to open 35 Shacks in Canada by 2035 starting with the flagship location in Toronto in 2024. We can’t wait to be a part of the city’s bustling energy and innovative food scene,” said Michael Kark, Chief Global Licensing Officer of Shake Shack back in 2023.

And it’s safe to say we’re just as excited for them to join us here in Toronto.
