If you didn’t catch it, a new animated Super Mario Bros. movie was announced yesterday, featuring an incredibly fun (and kind of weird) cast. But, maybe the best pick out of them all was Vancouver’s own Seth Rogen, who is set to voice that lovable primate Donkey Kong. We guess he saw Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu, and decided to dip his toes into Nintendo world himself.

Naturally, it didn’t take long at all for Twitter to run with the idea…

What’s more, a couple of folks decided to see what Seth Rogen’s laugh would sound like on Donkey Kong (hint: it’s something!).

We’ve got a while to think about the possibilities, since the movie won’t be released until December 2022. But, we think this needs to be something seen to be believed.
