Indigenous-owned streetwear brand opens its first store in BC

Looking to mix up your fall and winter wardrobes with some quality pieces? Indigenous streetwear brand Section 35 has tons of locally designed T-shirts, hoodies, bomber jackets, and cargo pants to choose from, and the brand just opened its flagship store in BC.

Founded by Nipisihkopahk designer Justin Louis, SECTION 35 features apparel for men and women, often with anti-colonial messaging. The brand has been featured everywhere from Vogue to the Metropolitan Museum of New York.

The new storefront is located in Chilliwack and offers guests the chance to peruse all the contemporary styles currently available online.

Officially launched in 2016, the brand is based on the Unceded Territories of the Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

The new store is open from Tuesday to Sunday from noon until 6 pm, so if you’re looking to do a bit of shopping – there’s your opening!
