They’re back, wine-rs, diners and casual after-work sippers! The Tea House, a beloved spot best known for its chic interior, creative cocktails, and underground entrance has reopened its doors in downtown Calgary’s Victoria Park neighbourhood after 19 months.

Though we thought we’d never see their neon sign light up that narrow walkway again, the group behind the popular spot announced via Instagram that they were making a return.

“When the Covid-19 Pandemic struck, we were uncertain of what the future of Two Penny, The Tea House, and the restaurant business in general, would look like,” they said back in June of 2020 when they announced they were shutting down permanently.

“The question of what the “new normal” is going to be is full of uncertainty.”

While this still rings true, it seems as though they’ve reevaluated and now with the same look, a new menu and familiar events like their Thursday comedy night, they’re back to pouring drinks as usual – so check them out!

You can find the Tea House on 1st street in the inner city, in the basement below the A1 Bodega and Cafe where they’re open from 6 pm to late.

Enjoy Calgary, and welcome back, Tea House. You’ve been missed!
