Enjoy a spring hike

See the blooms at Kubota Garden

If you haven’t visited Kubota Garden, now is pretty much the perfect time. This 20-acre garden was truly a labor of love created by Fujitaro Kubota. Today you can visit the 20 acres of gardens for free! It’s truly a gift to our city and everyone should see it in the spring at least once.

Take a scenic drive

There’s nothing quite like a good drive when you’ve been cooped up in the house. And luckily for you, Washington has a ton of scenic places to drive through. So you can make it a day trip or a road trip and stay in the car or hop out along the way. Whatever you choose, we’re here to help with a little list we made.

Look for cherry blossoms

The time is getting near for cherry blossoms to start popping up across the city. And luckily, most neighborhoods have a few trees. But if you want to see concentrated blooms you can check out the list of spots we made. Plus some of them you can even view from home!

Visit the Frye Art Museum

One of Seattle’s best art museums also happens to be free. Right now you can catch the museum’s collection as well as a show by Anastacia-Reneé. Additionally, the museum is showing some of the works created through its dementia care program.

Explore the Olympic Sculpture Park

This is a great sunny day activity that any Seattlite can enjoy and it also happens to be free. And what’s great about it is that you can enjoy some amazing art and also beautiful views of the Puget Sound. Not to mention, you can walk along the waterfront and catch the setting sun if you’re feeling it.

Visit a museum for free

If you have a Seattle Public Library card you can actually gain access to some of the city’s best museums for free! All you have to do is reserve your tickets ahead of time online and be sure to print them before you leave. Some of the museums you can visit include the Burke Museum, Nordic Heritage Museum, and Seattle Aquarium among others.

National Park Week

If you live in the PNW chances are that you love the outdoors. And National Park Week is an excellent opportunity to celebrate just that. Plus you can gain free entrance to any National Park on April 17th! So be sure to plan ahead and take advantage of that amazing deal.

Visit the Henry Art Gallery

Another one of the city’s best spots to see art also happens to be free and is tucked away on the UW Campus. Right now you can see 6 different shows! The shows range from video to print and much more. You definitely don’t want to miss out!

Sometimes we all get sick of the lo-fi hip hop beats playlist for our daily work from home grind. And that’s okay because Seattle Symphony re-broadcasts their amazing concerts for free. You can Shostakovich & Haydn in April and Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in May.

View a tour of the night sky

If you often find yourself pondering the night sky and solar system then you’ll probably enjoy this tour. It’s a free online Zoom presentation from Pacific Planetarium. You’ll get to fly around the night sky and you’ll get to learn all about the stars and planets.
