Resolutions can be hard to keep and this year is no different. According to WalletHub, more than 4 in 10 people think keeping resolutions will be harder in 2023 than in 2022. The biggest resolution trend for this year is finance, with 1 in 3 Americans making resolutions around the issue.

To determine which American cities are most likely to stick to their goals this year, WalletHub considered both the most popular and most commonly broken resolutions to rank over 180 US cities. This ranking is based on city’s conduciveness to self-improvement, a factor which was decided by 57 key metrics including things like exercise opportunities, income growth, employment outlook, and more.
The top 10 best cities for keeping New Years Resolutions are as follows:
1. Seattle, WA
2. San Francisco, CA
3. Scottsdale, AZ
4. Salt Lake City, UT
5. Overland Park, KS
6. Irvine, CA
7. Fremont, CA
8. San Diego, CA
9. Austin, TX
10. Orlando, FL
So what did Seattle do so well in? We ranked high in relationship resolutions (#3), financial resolutions (#4), health resolutions (#8) and a bit lower but still decent in bad habit resolutions (#20). All in all, we received a 67.37 score which isn’t too shabby if you ask us.
