If this fall has seemed extra wet you’re not crazy. It was actually the wettest meteorological fall on record. The combination of an already rainy season and the atmospheric rivers left us with record-breaking rainfalls. Looks like Seattle is living up to its reputation as the rainy city!
To put it in perspective, Seattle experienced 19 inches of rain between September and November alone. But what’s even more impressive is that 10 inches of that rain or 53.8% of the rain fell just in November. And this made it Seattle’s 5th wettest November on record according to the NWS.

Now Seattle wasn’t the only place that experienced record-breaking rainfall. Several other surrounding Washington cities also experienced incredibly wet Novembers.
