There’s a free Edmonton night market with lantern displays and live shows

AsiaFest is coming to Edmonton this year with lantern displays, cultural experiences, and the most vibrant festival atmosphere you can imagine.

This fall, AsiaFest, Edmonton’s premier Asian night market, is taking over a venue twice as large as last year; this means twice the energy, twice the fun. For three whole days during September, you can expect over 120 vendors bringing food and artisan goods, and over 50 cultural performances on the big stage in Windemere. Not to mention, you’ll be able to see all of this thanks to the fest’s free admission, so there’s definitely no reason to sit this one out.

There’s so much to do, eat, and explore during this cultural celebration; this festival is definitely going to blow you away.

What to expect from this year’s AsiaFest

AsiaFest is bringing a theme to this year’s fest, with “Under the Moon”  acting as a Mid-Autumn festival with beautiful photo opportunities, like gorgeous lantern displays, and an even brighter atmosphere than before.

The festival itself features a diverse array of merchants offering intricate items and gifts, as well as food vendors serving delicious and mouthwatering delicacies.

In the food department, there’s no way you’re going home hungry. With classic macaron desserts, crispy fried chicken, and a bunch of street food staples, the variety in options is absolutely astounding. For a full list of the food vendors making an appearance this year, you can check out the list on AsiaFest’s website.

As for merchandise, you’ll be pleased to know there’s also a great lineup of vendors coming to this year’s fest. There will be press-on nail booths, collectibles, and even intricate, handmade jewelry. With food in hand, you’ll be able to explore everything they have to purchase, and you’re also able to check out the vendors ahead of time on the website as well.

During all of this, there will be continuous performances throughout the three days. In total, there’s going to be over 50 performances through the weekend for you to enjoy. No matter what time it is, you’ll be welcome to head on down and witness what the fest has in store.

With just over a month left, we’re counting down the days to this exciting event. We’re definitely not going to miss this one.
