According to the U.S News & World Report, The 2024-2025 Best Places to Live were determined based on a methodology that takes into account the city’s job market, value, quality of life and desirability.

The methodology includes data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Census Bureau, FBI, Sharecare (Nasdaq: SHCR), the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. News rankings of the Best High Schools and Best Hospitals.

So, how did Seattle rank?

Seattle secured the 28th spot on the list of 150 cities, with U.S News & World Report writing, “Surrounded by both mountains and water on two sides, the natural beauty of Seattle is one of the biggest draws for residents.”

The ranking also mentions that less than an hour from downtown, residents can escape for the day or weekend to wineries, ski resorts, hiking trails and sprawling parks.

If you were wondering which cities make up the top ten, here you go:

  1. Naples, FL
  2. Boise, ID
  3. Colorado Springs, CO
  4. Greenville, SC
  5. Charlotte, NC
  6. Raleigh, NC
  7. Huntsville, AL
  8. Virginia Beach, VA
  9. Austin, TX
  10. Boulder, CO

Do you think Seattle should have ranked higher as one of the best places to live? Either way, it’s a reason to celebrate!
