Seattle Beer Week is back and bigger than ever. The annual celebration of beer culture and community in the Pacific Northwest is happening over the course of a week this May. The event brings together beer lovers, breweries, and bars for a series of events, tastings, and social gatherings.

Seattle Beer Week was founded in 2009 by Ian Roberts, owner of Seattle’s Pine Box bar, and Mike Baker, owner of the beer store chain Malt and Vine. The event is now in its 14th year and has become a staple of the Seattle food festival scene.

This year the festival has teamed up with Stoup Brewing for the official 2023 beer. Overall this year’s event has 18 sponsors featuring breweries like Georgetown Brewing Co., New Belgium Brewing, Pike Brewing, and more.

The full event lineup has yet to be announced but typically the week kicks off with an opening night party, featuring local breweries pouring their latest and greatest beers.

Throughout the week, there are a variety of events and activities to choose from, including beer tastings, beer and food pairings, tap takeovers, and educational seminars. Many of these events give attendees the chance to meet the brewers, learn about the brewing process, and try some of their most interesting and unique beers.

Overall, if you love beer, Seattle Beer Week is a must-attend. With so many events to choose from, there’s something for everyone.
