If you’ve been thinking about adding a new furry bestie to your life, this may be a good time to do so. The Seattle Animal Shelter has many adorable dogs looking for homes, and they have waived adoption fees for some of them.
We first spotted Gigi on the Animal Shelter’s social media accounts, and realized she is one of a few dogs who have been at the shelter for a long while.
According to the Seattle Animal Shelter, “all dogs who are with us for longer than 1 month have waived adoption fees.”
Currently, there are over 40 dogs waiting for a new home. Of those, 14 have waived adoption fees.
Some of the dogs available include a 9 year-old mixed German Shepherd named Moonchild, a 7-year-old Terrier, Pit Bull/Mix named Jax, an adorable Siberian Husky/Mix
called Madrona, and a Retriever, Labrador/Mix who goes by Alfie.
According to the Animal Shelter, “it is important to consider the type of pet that would best fit into your family and lifestyle.”
They add that adoption surveys are reviewed as they are received.
The Seattle Animal Shelter is open to the public for adoptions from 1 – 5 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
They are closed on Mondays and Fridays, as well as all City holidays.
They also have more animals to adopt besides dogs, like cats, rabbits, birds, and other animals too!
