Located just along the banks of the Grand River is Fergus, Ontario. You’ll find this town about an hour and a half away from Toronto.

It dates back to the 1800s as the town was officially established in 1833.

Next Stop: Fergus, Ontario

Explore its historic downtown, filled with natural limestone buildings, parks and public gardens.

According to its website, Fergus has strong Scottish roots and its rich heritage has been preserved to this day.

Scottish roots

In fact, the town hosts an annual Scottish Festival and Highland Games every summer with renowned Celtic talent from around the world. So you’ll have to wait a few months until you can experience this but in the meantime, you can still enjoy its heritage.
