Arguably the best event of the Cherry Blossom Fest, the Sakura Days Japan Fair is a weekend of fun you don’t want to miss. But, if you needed some more details about what to expect during your visit, we’ve got you covered!

Taking place next weekend (April 9th and 10th), the Fair will be taking over the VanDusen Botanical Garden for two days of family-friendly fun. On both Saturday and Sunday, you can expect a wide range of activities, workshops, and live performances, ranging from tea ceremonies to calligraphy to traditional ‘taiko’ drumming showcases.

Alongside it, a fair number of vendors and exhibitors will be on-site as well. Throughout the visitor centre and the garden itself, you can shop for amazing arts and crafts like home goods, handcrafted jewelry, and even some apparel.

Of course, the real cherry blossom on top here is all the food you’ll be able to try. This year, some of our favourite Japanese brands in the city have joined in on the fun, including JAPADOG and Wakwakburger. If that wasn’t enough though, visitors will also be able to grab some okonomiyaki, ramen, and of course, all sorts of matcha drinks and treats.

So yeah, Sakura Days has become a must for springtime activities, and it’s easy to see why. If you’re thinking of going, then make sure to grab some tickets!
