Gingerbread houses are some of the most beautiful holiday decorations around.
At this lodge in Canada’s Rocky Mountains, you can release your inner child by walking through one that’s enormous — life-sized, even.
It’s just one of the holiday offerings at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, located just an hour’s drive away from Calgary, in Kananaskis Village, Alta.
Nestled between mountains, the lodge offers some of the most spectacular views. And this holiday season, there’s going to be plenty of added delights for you to sink your teeth into.
For all of December until Jan. 4, the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge will come alive with festive cheer, offering a calendar packed with magical experiences that are seriously next level.
The Lodge has partnered with PARK Production House to craft these immersive holiday installations, but this year comes with an exciting twist.
Life-size gingerbread houses will be strategically positioned through the forested outdoors. It’ll be an experience full of whimsy, complete with live performances, plenty of activities, and delicious food and beverages.
While you won’t be able to munch on the gingerbread houses, you can take plenty of family pictures in the replicas.
You can expect visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, weekly theatrical performances, meet-and-greets with Santa’s reindeer, and an elf tuck-in for your little ones.
Live music will fill the air, bringing a warm atmosphere to Woody’s Pub, and piano melodies in the lobby will truly make this feel like it ’twas the night before Christmas, all day long.
This experience will be like living in an HBO Christmas special, and we’re totally here for it.
