Vancouver’s popular downtown ice skating rink is open for the season

Attention, ice skating enthusiasts! The city’s most beloved rink is slated to reopen next week. So mark your calendars and lace up your skates (or get ready to rent ’em!), because the Robson Square Ice Rink will be back before you know it.

Returning from last year is the indoor skate rental area and cafe, as well as their “12 Days of Christmas” concert series, which will feature live performances of holiday classics from Tuesday, December 13th to Saturday, December 24th from 6 to 9 pm. Stay tuned for the schedule!

Skate rentals are $5 a pop, with cleats available for $2. Helmets are free of charge with skate rentals, and are required for those 12 and under.

The Robson Square Ice Rink will run from Friday, December 2nd to February 28th, so you’ll have plenty of time to catch some glides on the ice. Hours of operation include 9 am to 9 pm Sundays to Thursdays, and until 11 pm on weekends. If you’re planning an outing with the family closer to Christmas or New Year’s, be sure to refer to their holiday hours.

Note that the rink now accepts VISA, Master Card, AMEX and Debit.

We’ll see you on the ice, Vancouver!
