After taking a hiatus last year, the Robson Square Ice Rink is set to reopen in downtown Vancouver next week! And, it’s coming back with a few changes for visitors. Here’s what to know before you go.

New for this year, the rink will have an indoor skate rental area and a cafe, which will make a visit in the chillier weeks that much more enjoyable. Plus, they’ll be hosting a ’12 Days of Christmas’ concert series, which will feature live shows from local performers from December 13th to 24th.

Due to the popularity of the rink, there are now some new health and safety regulations to be aware of (aside from the standard ones) as well. In addition to masks being mandatory at all times while on-site, the rink is also asking visitors to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet while they’re skating.

And while there are some new kids on the block (like a mountaintop skating rink and the Shipyards Plaza), the Robson Square Ice Rink has become a classic option during any visit downtown. Make sure to check it out this holiday season!
