If you’ve wandered around downtown lately and noticed a sizeable development near the former Empire 7 Cinemas, we’ve got some answers for you. A brand new entertainment venue is currently underway: The all-new Rec Room by Cineplex.
The development comes on the heels of plans to revitalize Granville Street and turn it into a cultural & artistic hub, including 800 Granville – a project by Bonnis Properties and Perkins & Will to restore the five heritage buildings on the 800 block. You can read more about the redevelopment project here.
As for Rec Room – get ready for a whirlwind of an entertainment centre (in the best way):
Are you ready Granville? A huge boost in activity is coming!
We can’t wait for the completion of Rec Room, located just across the street from us.

Honestly, if the Rec Room at The Amazing Brentwood is any indication – we’re in for quite an amazing venue. Big screens, bigger stages, live DJs, comedy nights, and live performers of all kinds – you’ll never be bored, that’s for sure.
And if you’re ready to take matters into your own hands, there are over 100 amusement games like air hockey, ping pong, pool, VR, and even a luxury bowling experience to take advantage of. And delicious Canadian-inspired eats and adult-friendly bevies to fuel your play, of course.
