We certainly aren’t Hawaii, or Sicily, but Canada has officially pitched to host season three of The White Lotus. Yes, it’s true!

In a public letter to the series creator, Mike White, the team behind Destinations Québec Cité is inviting him to Quebec City as they believe it is “a destination extraordinaire.”

Robert Mercure, the general manager of Destinations Québec Cité, said that it has always been a bit of the dream for them.

“And we’ve been thinking about it for a while: to be one of the next destinations for your acclaimed series, The White Lotus,” he said. “With its majestic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, historic fortifications, architectural treasures and over 400 years of history next to 21st-century modernity, Québec City will undoubtedly give The White Lotus a certain je ne sais quoi as captivating as the city itself. Come see for yourself.”

The deck outlines six reasons why Quebec City should be the host destination for The White Lotus.

It states that it is home to “the Most Photographed Hotel on Earth”, which is the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. And trying to stick with its grand entrance by boat in the first two seasons, the team states that “The Majestic St. Lawrence” would be a “scene stealer.”

Another reason is that the city has its own mysteries. “Is it the fortifications, stone walls, European-inspired architecture or its more than 400 years of history? No one really knows. But one thing is for sure: You’ll fall for its enigmatic charms,” states the proposal.

They also add that there is wilderness in Quebec, and that there is magic in their winters.

The last point they make is that the US dollar goes a long way in Canada.

“Right now, $1 US is equivalent to $1.37 CAN. That means more in the wallets of travellers – and any brilliant writer/director/ producer – who might be thinking about spending time north of the border.”

The White Lotus’ season two finale aired on December 11, and while there has been no confirmation of location for season three, an interview this fall stated that White may be looking at a new continent.

But we’re here for this pitch, Quebec City!
