Seattle is gearing up to embrace the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment this June during Pride Month. It’s time to get excited about all the fun and informative celebrations honoring our city’s LGBTQIA+ community. June promises a packed lineup of events, from colorful parades to thought-provoking discussions and electrifying parties. So, mark your calendars, here are 10 Pride events to check out in Seattle this year.

Seattle Pride in the Park

This annual LGBTQIA+ celebration, with the theme Galactic Love, will feature a can’t-miss lineup of LGBTQIA+ performances, a dance-focused stage curated by Supernova with an adjacent alcohol garden (21+), food trucks, local nonprofit booths, queer vendors, and more.

Hyper: Pride

HYPER is a queer party that describes itself as having the ability “to transform any space into an immaterial world.” The Pride edition is taking place at Cherry with DJs HYPERPOPPERS, Jane Don’t and Rowan Ruthless.

White Center Pride Festival

White Center Pride Festival features over 100 local & LGBT-friendly vendors, local performers, more than 9 beer gardens, delicious food specialties from local businesses, multiple live entertainment venues, main stage headliners, a family play area featuring a super-slide, bouncy house, and more.

more than friends: a triptych on queer love through the ages

Three one-act chamber operas from LGBTQIA+ contemporary composers and librettists come together to showcase the magic, poignance, and resilience of queer love.

Taking Pride in Capitol Hill

Taking Pride in Capitol Hill, formerly “Clean Sweep,” is back. Organizers provide snacks, lunch, t-shirts (first come, first served, quantities limited), and all the cleaning supplies and instructions you’ll need to help clean the Hill for the start of Pride Month. Be sure to register beforehand.

The Black Trans Comedy Showcase: a PRIDE Fundraiser for Lavender Rights Project

This year’s event is hosted by TS Madison, Mx. Dahlia Belle and KJ Whitehead. Plus, you’ll be able to see a performance by Beyonce Black St. James. There will be light refreshments, raffle prizes, opportunities to interact with performers (make sure to bring tips), and much more.

History Café: A Decade of Gender Justice

Join Gender Justice League co-founders Danni Askini and Elayne Wylie for a discussion on transgender and gender diverse activism in Washington State. Learn about our region’s role in the expansion of rights and safety for trans and gender diverse people nationally and historically.

Capitol Hill Queer/Pride Festival

Capitol Hill Queer/Pride Festival is the largest 21+ music and arts Pride festival in the Pacific Northwest that features both national and hyper-local artists. That includes musicians, drag queens, burlesque dancers, and more. This year’s festival will take place on June 23rd-25th in the heart of Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Seattle Pride Parade

The Parade route will again run downtown Seattle along 4th Ave, between Pike St and Denny Way. This LGBTQIA+ reunion is a free, fun, community-wide celebration advancing awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues and promoting mutual respect and equal human rights for all.

PrideFest Seattle Center

Immediately following the downtown Pride Parade attendees can head to Seattle Center from noon to 8 PM for PrideFest. There will be three stages, three beverage gardens, over one hundred artists, and over a hundred exhibitors including festival food vendors.
