No Canadian can resist the temptation of crispy french fries, warm gravy, and squeaky cheese curds. This October, you can stuff your face with as much as you can handle at a massive poutine festival in Mississauga.

Hosted by Street Eats Market, this poutine festival will have over 50 variations of this beloved Canadian comfort food.

Some of the most exciting creations include Lobster Poutine, Korean Bulgogi Poutine, Nashville Honey Garlic Popcorn Chicken Poutine, 14-hour Smoked Beef Short Rib Poutine, Unicorn Poutine, and Shawarma Poutine.

That’s just a preview of what you can expect but be prepared for many many more. Dress accordingly, and by that, we mean sweatpants.

Once your belly is full, you can shop at the festival’s artisan market, play some games, relax by a fire pit, and toast marshmallows for dessert.

There will also be roller skating if you still have some energy left after all that delicious food.

And as with many of the food festivals hosted by Street Eats Market, a contest will be held to determine the best creation.

Plus, admission is free, which leaves you with extra money to spend on fries!

If you want to keep the good times rolling, there are some nearby attractions you can check out too like the dazzling Illumi light show in Mississauga and a pumpkin village pop-up fair at CF Sherway Gardens.

There’s no shortage of fun to be had and delicious food to be eaten in our city this October. Let’s enjoy it all while we can!
