Big news, frequent flyers! Porter Airlines, a brand-new carrier has officially launched in Calgary, offering affordable flights and first-class service from YYC to Toronto.

For those who have never heard of this particular airline, Porter is well-known by those in Toronto for treating their customers to free Wi-Fi,  premium snacks and complimentary beer or wine – and now, Calgarians can enjoy it too!

“The launch of service in Calgary continues Porter’s western expansion and marks our entry to southern Alberta,” said Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Porter Airlines.

“Porter’s elevated economy travel experience is unlike anything that Calgarians have experienced up to now. The level of service that Porter offers is unheard of for economy travellers among North American airlines.”

Interested? Service between Calgary and Toronto will begin with two daily, non-stop return flights aboard their new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft – which, fun fact, is the only plane on this particular route without a middle seat. Then, on June 1st, one more flight will be added – so stay tuned!

Porter Airline Flights from Toronto to Calgary are on sale now and can be upgraded to include extra legroom, checked baggage and a dedicated check-in line – if you’re feeling fancy.
