Who doesn’t love lounging on a warm, sandy beach? The only thing that could get in the way is large crowds but you won’t have to worry about that here! Port Glasgow is located on the north shores of Lake Erie, a small beach described as a “hidden oasis of tranquillity.”

Port Glasgow can be found away from the busier beaches in the area such as Port Stanley.

If you’re driving from Toronto it will take you just under three hours to reach this quiet oasis.

The Port Glasgow Marina is just down the road and there is plenty to do there as well!

The marina boasts:

  • 6 covered picnic shelters
  • 30 amps & water to each dock
  • Gasoline & pumpouts
  • 3 Beaches & hiking trails
  • 4 nearby trailer resorts

If you’re hungry there are a handful of restaurants in the neighbouring communities of West Lorne and Rodney.

West Lorne has a great spot for pizza, ice cream, cocktails and more called Out to Lunch so be sure to fuel up and chow down!

Be sure to pack your sunscreen and also note that if you’re bringing children, the beach does not have lifeguards but there are life saving devices available on the shore.

Soak up the sun, Ontario!
